LIVE-GIFFING THE VICE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE
It’s time for another televised argument! Once again, Gifwich has recruited a number of Tumblr artists to create animated GIFs of the debate in real-ish time. On Thursday at 9pm Eastern, we’ll enjoy the rhetorical stylings of Joe Biden versus Paul Ryan as they apply for the job of first choice for second-most important job in the nation. You can check out the flow of GIFs on Gifwich (follow at your own risk! volume will be high!) as well as observing the “action” at Tumblr HQ via Livestream as well as the more cerebral treatments offered by Tumblr’s official Election blog and our pals at the Guardian.
Incidentally, the top 5 most popular creations from the last debate were Lana Del Rey, “I like coal”, the pre-debate face smoosh, Obama’s lightsaber, and “WUT”. Note also that a great many live-GIFs were submitted by the Tumblr community — before, during, and after the debate itself. Feel free to submit your own, anytime.
