1. Ode to the Jumpsuit

    Jumpsuits are great— for music videos, live performances, cleaning up hazardous waste… Whatever the occasion, you can be sure you are doing good work when you are wearing a jumpsuit. Here are some memorable uses:

    Devo (so many jumpsuits from 1972 to the present)

    Beastie Boys (Intergalactic video and all the time)

    We Have Band (their stop motion video for Divisive made ultra good use of the jumpsuit)

    Britney Spears (Oops I Did It Again video)

    Elvis Presley (wore them all the time)

    Luke and Owen Wilson in Bottle Rocket (worn very deliberately)

    “I’m in… Three conditions: First, you mastermind the plan. Second, Bob’s on the team. And third, you’ve gotta get me one of those jumpsuits.”

    Ali G (technically not a one-piece but we’ll let it slide)
