I know everyone is pooped/brain dead from finals but please gather your remaining mental resources to focus on this for a sec— it’s a big deal.
After giving each other the cold shoulder throughout this administration, Obama and greens are finally both on board to cut $113 billion worth of fossil fuel subsidies.
If this bill does not pass, we will continue paying billions each year to facilitate punks like Aubrey McClendon getting rich off poisoning people while stalling the development of a renewable energy economy.
This needs to happen NOW.
Again, this is a very special moment because Dems and greens are working together— let’s not waste it!
The bill was announced today in Washington D.C., at a rally put on by 350.org.
That’s what I’m talkin’ about.
WHY DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS FOR THE OPEN MIC. Bahh! I must see someone perform this soon!
My friend is a gif! I feel like I know a celebrity.

This is the second time in a week that one of my friends has run into Heems, aka The Rapper I Wish To Marry. I do not understand why I have not been so lucky as to cross paths with him.
Do you think he’s just shy and using my friends to get to me? Yeah, that’s probably the case.
I ran into them on Montrose!
Exciting things happening for Gender Violence Awareness week @ NYU!
We’re having an open mic night for survivors of gender violence & their allies. See fb event: http://www.facebook.com/events/344464712276798/
If you are a survivor of child sexual abuse or know a survivor, please take a second to submit your story to the “Shh…is for Shameless” Story Box. All submissions are anonymous, but you may choose to self-identify and share your story in person at the open mic night.
Last week I read a short & sweet submission from someone who is the child of a survivor. It was so touching and made me excited about getting more of these on display at the open mic!
Download the submission form here and email it to health.promotion@nyu.edu
